This is a link to an open letter published on the McSweeney's website, written by one Kevin Hyde of Williamsburg, Virginia. Kevin wrote an open letter to the girl from a Listerine ad that was widely aired last year, an ad which I can only hope will soon return. You'd be watching the Cosby Show or something, and suddenly this beautiful face would be looking at you, swishing Listerine around in it's mouth. I have often thought of that face and sighed. I will leave any further description of her to Kevin; when I read his words I feel instantly as though I had written them myself, only I couldn't have because I don't write that well.
Kevin, I salute you. If someday we should meet, I will buy you a drink.
